If you are planning to visit the south of Cusco and specifically the Colored Mountains, you have to get to or pass through the district of Cusipata. Cusipata is the turn-off point to Vinincunca Mountain and Palcoyo Mountain. There, usually the tours make a stop there to have breakfast and even lunch before the return.

Very close to Cusipata is the detour to the mountains and once, following the roads, you will reach the respective detours to reach each of the destinations. Both mountains have a considerable distance between them.

For those who wish to make the trip on their own, they will have to take into account the weather conditions in Cusipata. This is because there, you will have to do two things, one of them is to look for breakfast and the second one is to look for transportation to continue your trip. This is the only way to get to Vinincunca and Palcoyo.

During the trip and the stay in Cusipata, you will have to do these activities on your own. By not having a transportation or similar, depending on the season and day conditions may not be suitable. That is why we leave you the weather and climate forecast in Cusipata. We believe that with this information you will be able to decide better the clothing, footwear and other details, taking into account, of course, the conditions of the day you plan to make the trip.
